A/C Condenser sits in the air-conditioning refrigerant circuit, mounted at the front of the vehicle ahead of the radiator.

High-pressure refrigerant vapour leaving the compressor passes through the condenser, where airflow across its fins draws off heat and condenses the refrigerant into a liquid before it continues to the receiver-drier and expansion valve. It is positioned in the main cooling airflow so that adequate air across its face keeps the air-conditioning system working effectively.

Frequently asked questions

What does the BTR6632 A/C condenser do?
The BTR6632 A/C condenser sits at the front of the vehicle ahead of the radiator. High-pressure refrigerant vapour from the compressor passes through it, and airflow across its fins draws off heat, condensing the refrigerant to a liquid before it moves to the receiver-drier and expansion valve. Made by Nissens.
Which models does the BTR6632 condenser fit?
The BTR6632 A/C condenser fits the Discovery 1 (1989-1998) from chassis MA081992 and the Range Rover Classic (1992-1994) from VIN JA610294 with the electric fan. Because of these chassis breaks, confirm your VIN and cooling fan setup before ordering.
What are the signs an A/C condenser needs replacing?
A failing A/C condenser typically shows as weak or warm air-conditioning, refrigerant leaks from stone-chip damage to its fins, or corrosion. Sitting at the front of the vehicle, it's exposed to road debris. If the core leaks or blocks, the system can't shed heat and cooling drops off.
