Brand Nural
Cylinder Liner for the 5.3L V12 engine. The liner forms the hardwearing cylinder bore surface in which the piston runs, seating into the cylinder block to provide a precise, durable wall for the piston rings to seal against.

Supplied to the Grade A size grading, which must be matched to the corresponding piston grade to achieve the correct running clearance. Replacing worn liners restores compression and controls oil consumption during an engine rebuild.
Fitment Notes JAGUAR — Cylinder liner, Grade A, 5.3L V12 (Nural). Fits E-Type Series 3, XJ12 Series 1, XJS 5.3

Frequently asked questions

What does the cylinder liner do?
The cylinder liner forms the hardwearing bore surface the piston runs in on the 5.3L V12 engine. It seats into the cylinder block and gives the piston rings a precise, durable wall to seal against, controlling compression and oil consumption.
What does the Grade A grading mean?
Grade A is a size grading for the liner bore. It must be matched to the corresponding piston grade so the piston runs at the correct clearance in the liner. Ordering the wrong grade gives an incorrect running clearance, so check the grade your rebuild needs before buying.
How many cylinder liners does a V12 rebuild need?
A 5.3L V12 has twelve cylinders, so a full reline typically needs twelve liners, all matched to the correct piston grade. Liners are usually replaced as a complete set during a rebuild to keep bore condition and clearances even across both banks.
Which vehicles use this 5.3L V12 cylinder liner?
This liner fits the 5.3L V12 in the Jaguar E-Type Series 3, XJ12 Series 1, and XJS 5.3. It's a Nural part. Confirm the engine's bore grade and rebuild specification, since liners are supplied to specific size gradings.
