Crankshaft Thrust Washer Set for the crankshaft main bearing assembly. The thrust washers locate at the thrust main bearing and control the crankshaft's axial endfloat, absorbing the fore-and-aft loads transmitted through the crankshaft and keeping it correctly positioned in the block.

Supplied in the standard size, for a crankshaft with a thrust face at standard dimensions; oversize washers are used where the thrust face has been reground. Worn thrust washers allow excessive endfloat, which is corrected during an engine rebuild.
