Castor Correction Kit - 44mm Wide Bush for the front suspension radius arm assembly on the Defender, Discovery 1, and Range Rover Classic.

Lifting the vehicle reduces castor angle, which can cause imprecise steering and instability. This Old Man Emu kit restores castor geometry by introducing 2 degrees of positive castor into the front axle. The kit consists of four eccentric bushes that are pressed into the leading arms of the front suspension, correcting the geometry without altering ride height.

This is the wide bush (44mm) variant, suited to applications requiring greater correction. The narrow 38mm version is available separately.

Frequently asked questions

What does the CALR2 castor correction kit do?
The CALR2 restores front axle castor angle after a suspension lift on the Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic. It adds around 2 degrees of positive castor using four eccentric bushes pressed into the front radius arms, sharpening steering and stability.
How many bushes are in the kit and how many do I need?
The CALR2 kit contains four eccentric bushes, enough for both front radius arms on one vehicle. It's a complete front-axle kit, so one CALR2 covers the full castor correction job.
What's the difference between the 44mm and 38mm castor kits?
The CALR2 is the wide 44mm bush version, suited to applications needing greater castor correction. The narrow 38mm version is sold separately. Choose based on how much lift you've fitted and the correction your steering needs.
Which vehicles does the CALR2 fit?
The CALR2 fits the coil-sprung Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic with front radius arm suspension. It corrects castor lost when these models are lifted. Cross-reference DA8952 covers the same kit.
