Battery Isolator Switch is a master cut-out switch fitted in the main battery lead to fully disconnect the battery from the vehicle electrical system.

Key-operated using a removable red key (type 30.20.15) and rated 12V at 1000A. Isolating the battery prevents parasitic drain during storage, eliminates an ignition source during electrical work, and acts as a theft and fire-safety measure.
Fitment Notes 12V 1000A key-operated battery cut-out / isolator switch, red key (type 30.20.15). Universal fitment.

Frequently asked questions

What does the DA2037 battery isolator switch do?
The DA2037 battery isolator switch is a master cut-out fitted in the main battery lead to fully disconnect the battery from the vehicle's electrical system. It's key-operated with a removable red key and rated 12V at 1000A.
Why fit a battery isolator switch?
A battery isolator switch prevents parasitic battery drain during storage, removes an ignition source during electrical work, and adds theft and fire-safety protection. Turning the key disconnects the battery from the whole electrical system in one action, so nothing draws current.
Where is the isolator switch fitted?
The isolator switch is fitted in the main battery lead, usually on the earth or live feed close to the battery. It's a universal 12V 1000A unit, so it isn't vehicle-specific and can be mounted wherever the main battery cable can be reached.
What key does the isolator switch use?
The isolator switch uses a removable red key, type 30.20.15. The key has to be inserted and turned to restore power, so removing it isolates and helps immobilise the electrical system during storage or security parking.
