Automatic Transmission Filter - the replacement oil filter element for the metal-sump conversion fitted to the ZF 6HP-series six-speed automatic gearbox.

The filter screens debris from the transmission fluid drawn out of the sump before it reaches the pump, valve body and clutch packs. It is the serviceable element for the easy-change metal sump (DA2142 / TF2142 conversion), allowing the filter to be renewed at a fluid change without removing the gearbox - unlike the original one-piece plastic sump-and-filter assembly. Renew the filter together with the transmission fluid at the gearbox service interval.
