Sand Ladders are recovery boards used to regain traction when a vehicle becomes bogged down on soft ground. Positioned under the driven wheels, they present a firm gritted surface that the tyre can grip to bridge across sand, mud or snow.

Each board is constructed from fibreglass for strength with low weight, and carries a gritted top surface to improve grip. The boards measure 1,220mm (L) x 270mm (W) x 50mm (D) and stack flat for storage. Supplied as a pair.

Frequently asked questions

What are the DA5600 sand ladders used for?
The DA5600 sand ladders are recovery boards. You place them under the driven wheels when the vehicle is bogged down, giving the tyres a firm gritted surface to grip and bridge across soft sand, mud or snow.
How many sand ladders do you get?
These sand ladders are supplied as a pair, so one order covers both driven wheels. For a stuck vehicle you'll typically want one board per spinning wheel to regain traction on both sides.
What's the difference between the 50mm and 38mm sand ladders?
The 50mm and 38mm figures refer to board depth. This is the 50mm version, the deeper board, which typically offers more rigidity under load. The 38mm board (DA5601) is slimmer and packs flatter for storage.
