Sand Ladders are recovery boards used to regain traction when a vehicle becomes bogged down on soft ground. Positioned under the driven wheels, they present a firm gritted surface that the tyre can grip to bridge across sand, mud or snow.

Each board is constructed from fibreglass for strength with low weight, and carries a gritted top surface to improve grip. The boards measure 1,220mm (L) x 270mm (W) x 38mm (D) and stack flat for storage. Supplied as a pair.

Frequently asked questions

What are the DA5601 sand ladders used for?
The DA5601 sand ladders are recovery boards. You slide them under the driven wheels when you're bogged down, giving the tyres a gritted surface to grip so you can bridge across soft sand, mud or snow.
How many sand ladders are in a set?
These sand ladders come as a pair, covering both driven wheels. When a vehicle is stuck you'll typically want a board under each spinning wheel to get traction back on both sides.
What's the difference between the 38mm and 50mm sand ladders?
The 38mm and 50mm figures are the board depth. This is the 38mm version, the slimmer board that packs flatter for storage. The 50mm board (DA5600) is deeper and typically stiffer under heavy loads.
