Spark Plug with a nickel centre electrode ignites the compressed air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber of the V12 petrol engine. The high-voltage spark jumps the electrode gap to initiate each power stroke.
One plug is fitted per cylinder, so the engine takes a set of twelve. Plugs are normally renewed as a complete set at the specified service interval to keep ignition timing and burn consistent across all cylinders.
