Water Shedder is the moisture barrier fitted to the inner face of the front door, behind the door trim panel.

It seals the access apertures in the door's inner panel so that water entering around the window glass drains down inside the door and exits through the bottom, rather than passing through to the interior trim and the cabin. This is the right-hand front door shedder.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Water Shedder do?
The Water Shedder is the moisture barrier on the inner face of the front door, behind the trim panel, on the Land Rover Defender up to 2016. It seals the door's access apertures so water draining inside the door exits at the bottom rather than passing through to the cabin.
Which door does this water shedder fit?
This is the right-hand front door water shedder for the Land Rover Defender up to 2016. The left-hand and rear doors use their own shedders, so order by the specific door. It mounts behind the door trim card against the inner door skin.
Why replace the water shedder?
The water shedder is usually replaced when it's torn, perished, or won't reseal after the door trim has been off. A failed shedder lets water and draughts into the cabin, which can soak the trim and reach door wiring on the Defender.
Is the water shedder a DIY fit?
Fitting the water shedder is typically a DIY job on the Defender. Remove the door trim card to reach the inner panel, then bed the shedder onto fresh sealant around the apertures. A clean, continuous seal keeps water out of the cabin.
