Oil Cooler - a transmission oil cooler forming part of the gearbox cooling circuit. Transmission fluid is routed through a finned matrix so that heat picked up in the gearbox is shed to the passing airflow, holding the fluid within its working temperature range and protecting the transmission under sustained load.

Applies to petrol drivetrains.
