Brake Pad Set - rear axle, part of the rear disc brake assembly.

The pads are clamped against the rear brake disc by the caliper pistons and provide the rear share of the service braking effort. They are a wear item and should be replaced as a complete axle set, with the discs checked for thickness, scoring and run-out and the caliper slide pins cleaned and greased at the same time.

Allow a bedding-in period before the new pads reach their full working friction level.
