Head Gasket Set for the AJ133 5.0L V8 supercharged petrol engine, covering the cylinder head to cylinder block joint.

The head gasket seals the combustion chambers, coolant galleries and oil feed passages between the cylinder head and the block, maintaining compression and preventing cross-leakage between the cooling and lubrication circuits. On the supercharged engine it also has to contain the higher peak cylinder pressures produced by boost, so head joint condition is critical to sealing.

The supercharged and naturally aspirated builds of the AJ133 engine use different cylinder head gasket specifications, and the specification also changed during production. Confirm the engine build before fitting. Cylinder head bolts are single-use and must be renewed and tightened to the specified sequence and torque on reassembly.
