Body Mount Isolator is part of the body-to-chassis frame mounting system. It is located between the body structure and the chassis frame at one of the body mounting positions, supporting the weight of the body while damping road, suspension and drivetrain vibration before it reaches the cabin.

The isolator is clamped by the body mount bolt passing through its centre sleeve. Perished or collapsed isolators allow body movement and increased noise and vibration; body mounting points are normally renewed in matched sets so body height stays even.
