Sealing Ring - oil seal at the input of the AWF21 six-speed automatic transmission, sealing around the torque converter hub where it enters the transmission housing.

The seal retains transmission fluid at the converter housing and runs against the rotating converter hub. Loss of sealing shows as fluid leakage from the bellhousing area and, if left unattended, a falling fluid level. Access requires the transmission or torque converter to be removed, so the seal is normally renewed whenever the converter is withdrawn.
