Brake Caliper for the rear axle, left-hand (near-side), part of the rear disc brake assembly.

The caliper straddles the brake disc and houses the hydraulic piston that, under pressure from the master cylinder, clamps the brake pads against the rotor to slow the wheel. It is supplied for the near-side rear position.

Replacement is indicated where the caliper is seized, leaking at the piston seal, or no longer retracting cleanly.
