Frequently asked questions

What does the LR001706 sensor do?
The LR001706 is a ride-height sensor for the automatic headlamp levelling system on the Freelander 2 (2006-2014). It measures suspension height at the axle and reports body attitude to the levelling control, which adjusts headlamp beam angle. Used on cars with HID adaptive headlamps.
How many of these sensors are fitted?
Two per vehicle, and the same sensor is used front and rear. It's supplied without a bracket, so reuse your existing bracket. Order two if you're replacing both the front and rear sensors.
Which Freelander 2 does this sensor fit?
It fits the Freelander 2 (2006-2014) equipped with the automatic headlamp levelling system and HID adaptive headlamps, up to VIN CH301059. Cars without HID adaptive headlamps don't use it, so confirm your specification and VIN.
