Exhaust Camshaft for the 2.4L Duratorq TDCi (Puma) turbo diesel engine.

Mounted in the cylinder head as part of the overhead-cam valvetrain, this camshaft operates the exhaust valves. Its lobes act on the followers to open the valves in the correct sequence and timing, controlling the release of exhaust gas from the combustion chambers. It is driven in time with the crankshaft and runs alongside the intake camshaft in the twin-cam head.
