Intercooler - charge air cooler in the induction circuit of the 3.6L V8 TDV8 diesel engine.

It lowers the temperature of the compressed air leaving the turbochargers before it reaches the inlet manifold. The cooler, denser charge increases the oxygen mass available for combustion and limits inlet temperatures under sustained boost.

The core connects to the turbocharger outlet and the inlet manifold through the charge air hoses; check these for splits and secure clamping whenever the intercooler is removed.
