Crankshaft Front Oil Seal for the timing gear cover, sealing the crankshaft nose where it passes out through the front cover.

It runs on the crankshaft sealing surface and retains engine oil within the timing drive. A worn seal shows as an oil leak at the front of the engine that can reach the accessory drive belt. Renewal requires removal of the crankshaft pulley and damper. Used on the V8 petrol and supercharged V6 petrol engines.
