Inlet Valve - cylinder head inlet (induction) valve for the 5.0L V8 AJ133 supercharged petrol engine.

The inlet valve admits the intake charge into the combustion chamber and seals against its seat in the cylinder head through the compression and power strokes, so the condition of its sealing face and stem bears directly on compression, idle stability and starting.

Sixteen inlet valves are fitted per engine - two per cylinder.

Valves are normally replaced with the seats recut or lapped to match and the installed valve height checked, so that seating and stem heights stay consistent across the head.
