Rear Crankshaft Seal and Retainer - the rear main oil seal supplied complete with its retainer housing, sealing the crankcase at the transmission end of the engine.

The retainer bolts to the rear face of the cylinder block and the seal lip runs on the crankshaft rear flange, containing engine oil where the crankshaft passes out of the crankcase towards the flywheel or flexplate. The seal is supplied already fitted to its retainer, so the two are installed and replaced as one assembly.

Used on the 5.0L V8 AJ133 petrol engine in both naturally aspirated and supercharged form. Seal thickness 1mm. Replacement requires removal of the gearbox and the flywheel or flexplate to reach the rear of the block.
