Spark Plug Aperture Gasket for the right-hand camshaft cover, sealing the spark plug well against oil ingress.

The camshaft cover carries a tube for each spark plug, and this gasket seals the joint at that aperture so oil circulating under the cover cannot reach the plug recess. A perished gasket lets oil collect around the spark plug and ignition coil, which typically shows up as a misfire and can destroy the coil. One gasket is used per aperture on the right-hand cylinder bank.

Used on spark-ignition engines only - the 5.0L OHC SGDI V8 AJ133 petrol in naturally aspirated, supercharged and DOHC CDA form, and the 3.0L DOHC GDI supercharged V6 petrol. Renew whenever the camshaft cover is removed or the spark plugs are changed.
