Fuel Injector Seal - Lower is the lower sealing ring fitted to the fuel injector, within the fuel injector and pipe assembly of the 4.4L V8 (AJ) petrol and 4.2L V8 supercharged petrol engines.

It seals the nozzle end of the injector into its mounting bore, containing fuel and combustion pressure at the injector body. One lower seal is fitted per injector, and the seal should be renewed whenever an injector is disturbed or removed.

The companion seal at the fuel rail end of the injector is LR012785.

Replace the injector seal every time the injector is removed. These seals are single-use and harden with heat and fuel exposure, so a new lower seal prevents leaks when refitting injectors on the V8 AJ petrol engine.
