Crankcase Ventilation Tube for the 3.0L V6 diesel, part of the crankcase ventilation circuit and located at the oil pan.

The tube forms the section of the ventilation path that connects at the sump, linking the crankcase to the breather and oil separator circuit above it. Correct routing and a sound seal at each connection are needed for the system to regulate crankcase pressure.

Running close to the engine, this tube is exposed to heat and oil vapour and hardens over time. Splitting or a loose connection lets the ventilation circuit leak and can allow crankcase pressure to rise, so check both ends carefully on fitting.
