Lambda Sensor - left-hand bank exhaust gas oxygen sensor for the 5.0L AJ133 V8 petrol engine, mounted in the front pipe and catalyst section of the exhaust system.
The sensing tip sits in the exhaust stream and produces a signal that varies with the residual oxygen content of the gas passing it. The engine management system reads that signal to hold the air/fuel mixture under closed-loop control and to monitor the exhaust after-treatment. Each cylinder bank is sensed separately; this is the left-hand bank unit, and the right-hand bank takes its own sensor, LR013660.
Petrol V8 applications only, naturally-aspirated and supercharged.
