Transmission Oil Cooler from the automatic transmission cooling circuit. Installed in the front cooling pack, it receives hot fluid from the gearbox, sheds heat to the airflow passing through the matrix and returns the cooled fluid to the transmission.

Holding transmission fluid within its working temperature range protects the clutch packs, the valve block and the torque converter, and matters most when towing or under sustained load. A leaking or internally blocked cooler shows as fluid loss at the front of the vehicle or as rising transmission temperature.

For vehicles with the ZF 6HP28 six-speed or ZF 8HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission.
