Front Anti-Roll Bar Drop Link in the front suspension system.

The drop link connects the outer end of the front anti-roll bar to the hub carrier via ball joints at each end, transmitting lateral load from the bar into the suspension during cornering. It accommodates the vertical movement of the suspension strut while maintaining the anti-roll bar's torsional coupling. Wear in the joints typically presents as a knock or rattle from the front suspension over uneven surfaces.

Sold individually; two are required per vehicle.

Frequently asked questions

What does the suspension link do on a Discovery 4?
This suspension link is the front anti-roll bar drop link on the Land Rover Discovery 4. It connects the anti-roll bar to the suspension through ball joints at each end, transferring load during cornering to limit body roll while allowing normal suspension travel.
How many drop links are needed for the job?
Two drop links are needed for a full front job on the Discovery 4, one per side. They're sold individually, so order two to do both at once. Renewing them in pairs keeps handling balanced, since a worn opposite link usually fails soon after.
What are the signs the front drop link needs replacing?
A worn front drop link typically gives a knock or rattle from the front suspension over bumps on the Discovery 4. Play develops in the end ball joints as they wear. Left unchanged, it can affect anti-roll bar response and cornering stability.
