Description:
Exhaust Insulator in the exhaust mounting assembly.
The insulator is a rubber mounting that suspends the exhaust system from the vehicle underframe, isolating exhaust vibration from the body and allowing for thermal expansion as the system heats and cools during operation. It mounts between the exhaust hanger bracket and the body, holding the exhaust in position while preventing exhaust-generated noise and vibration from transmitting into the cabin.
