Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor for the front position in the exhaust front pipe and catalyst assembly.

The sensor threads into the front pipe upstream of the diesel particulate filter and reports exhaust gas temperature to the engine management system. That signal is used to control diesel particulate filter regeneration and to monitor exhaust temperature during normal running.

Used on diesel applications fitted with a diesel particulate filter.
