Cylinder Head Gasket seals the joint between the cylinder head and the cylinder block on the 2.2L 16V common-rail diesel engine (DW12), containing combustion pressure and keeping the coolant and oil galleries that cross the deck face separated.

This engine is built with a graded multi-layer steel head gasket: the identification holes denote the gasket thickness, and the correct grade is determined by measuring piston protrusion above the block deck face. This is the 2-hole, 1.30mm grade.

The cylinder head bolts are stretch (torque-to-yield) type and are renewed together with the gasket.
