It forms the upper leg of the main coolant circuit, carrying hot coolant from the engine outlet to the upper inlet of the radiator. Fitted to the 5.0L supercharged V8 petrol engine (AJ133).

Hoses in this position run continuously at engine temperature and are normally renewed when the rubber has hardened, cracked or swollen at the connection ends.
