Description:
Metering Valve for the fuel injection system of the 4.4L V8 TDV8 diesel engine.
Mounted on the high-pressure fuel pump assembly, the metering valve is an electromechanical solenoid that regulates the volume of fuel drawn into the pump's compression stage from the low-pressure supply circuit. The engine management system controls valve opening duration to govern rail pressure in the common rail, directly managing fuel delivery quantity and injection timing. A faulty metering valve typically causes difficult starting, rough running, or loss of power under load.
