Ride Height Sensor for the electronic air suspension system, monitoring rear ride height.

The sensor links to the rear suspension arm and reports its angular position to the air suspension control module, which regulates air spring pressure to keep the vehicle level under load and to carry out ride height changes. This is the rear sensor for the standard air suspension configuration, without Continuous Variable Damping (CVD).

A failed or out-of-range sensor commonly sets a suspension fault and can prevent automatic height adjustment.

Frequently asked questions

What does the rear ride height sensor do on the air suspension?
The rear ride height sensor monitors rear ride height on the electronic air suspension. It reports the rear suspension arm's angular position to the air suspension control module, which regulates air spring pressure to keep the vehicle level under load and carry out height changes. Fitted to Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport L320.
Is this the sensor for standard air suspension or adaptive damping?
This is the rear sensor for the standard Four Corner Air Suspension setup, without Continuous Variable Damping (CVD). On Range Rover Sport L320 it fits the Less Adaptive Damping configuration. Confirm your vehicle's damping type before ordering, as adaptive-damping variants typically use a different sensor.
What are the signs the rear ride height sensor needs replacing?
A failed or out-of-range rear ride height sensor typically sets a suspension fault and can prevent automatic height adjustment. The vehicle may sit unlevel at the rear or refuse to change height. As an electrical sensor on the rear suspension, faults usually show as stored suspension codes.
How do I confirm this rear sensor fits my vehicle?
This rear ride height sensor fits Discovery 4 2010-2016 from VIN AA539608 with Four Corner Air Suspension, and Range Rover Sport L320 from VIN AA248964. Use your VIN to confirm the build break and that your vehicle has the standard air suspension setup.
