Ride Height Sensor for the front right-hand corner of the air suspension system.

The sensor mounts between the body and a suspension link, and measures the angle of the arm to report the corner's ride height to the control system. This signal is used by the air suspension and adaptive damping control units to regulate ride height and damper response, and feeds the headlamp self-levelling function.

Frequently asked questions

What does the front ride height sensor do on a Range Rover Evoque?
The front ride height sensor measures the angle of the suspension link and reports the corner's ride height to the air suspension and adaptive damping control units. On the Range Rover Evoque L538 and L551 it sits at the front right between the body and a suspension arm, and also feeds the headlamp self-levelling function.
Which Land Rover models use ride height sensor LR024219?
Ride height sensor LR024219 fits the Range Rover Evoque L538 (2012-2018), Evoque L551 (2019+) and Discovery Sport (2015+). It's the front right-hand sensor, used for air suspension or electronic damper control depending on the variant. Use your VIN to confirm the front RH position before ordering.
What are the signs the front ride height sensor needs replacing?
A failing ride height sensor typically triggers suspension fault warnings, an incorrect ride height, or erratic headlamp levelling. The link and internal sensor can wear or corrode over time. On the Evoque and Discovery Sport a faulty front sensor can put the suspension into a fault mode until it's replaced.
Can the front ride height sensor be fitted at home?
The front ride height sensor is usually a straightforward swap, held by a bracket and a link to the suspension arm, with one electrical connector. Most DIY mechanics can fit it with hand tools, though the system typically needs a diagnostic tool to clear fault codes and recalibrate ride height afterward.
