The LR025045 is the engine coolant temperature sensor for the 2.0L petrol engine. It measures coolant temperature and feeds it to the ECU for fuelling and cooling fan control. It fits to the thermostat housing.

This sensor mounts in the thermostat housing and comes with an O-ring, per the fitment note. It fits the 2.0L TiVCT petrol on Discovery Sport, Freelander 2, Range Rover L405, Range Rover Sport L494 and Evoque L538.
What are the signs the coolant temperature sensor has failed?
A faulty coolant temperature sensor usually causes poor cold starting, rough running, or cooling fan and gauge faults. On the 2.0L petrol engine it's typically replaced when the ECU logs an implausible coolant temperature signal.
Does this fit diesel models?
No. This sensor fits the 2.0L petrol engine only. It does not suit diesel, so confirm your engine on the Range Rover L405 or Evoque L538 before ordering.
