Steering Rack Connecting Rod (inner tie rod) in the steering linkage. It threads onto the end of the steering rack and connects to the outer tie rod end, transmitting the rack's lateral movement out to the steering arm so the road wheel turns. Its inner ball joint lets the linkage articulate as the suspension moves through its travel.

Suitable for the right- or left-hand side. Replaced when the inner joint develops play or the rod is bent, restoring precise steering response and correct wheel alignment.
