Crankshaft Position Sensor for the 3.2L DOHC petrol inline-six (MPI) engine, part of the engine management system.

The sensor reads a toothed reluctor wheel on the crankshaft to monitor rotational speed and angular position, feeding a reference signal to the engine control module (ECM) for ignition timing and fuel injection sequencing. A failing sensor can cause misfires, rough or erratic idle, stalling, or a no-start condition.
