Drive Belt Tensioner for the secondary (supercharger) belt drive fitted to the supercharged petrol V6 and V8 engines. It uses a spring-loaded pivoting arm and idler pulley to hold the correct tension on the auxiliary drive belt.

Mounted within the front-end accessory drive, the tensioner takes up belt slack and damps vibration as the belt stretches with wear and temperature. Maintaining consistent tension keeps the belt gripping the supercharger and ancillary pulleys and guards against slip and premature belt wear.
