Lambda Sensor - Exhaust Gas - Middle An exhaust gas oxygen (lambda) sensor fitted at the middle sensor position in the exhaust system. It measures the residual oxygen content of the exhaust gas.

The sensor signal is sent to the engine control module, which uses it to regulate the air/fuel mixture for closed-loop fuelling and to monitor catalytic converter operation. Used on the 2.0L 16V petrol engine.
