Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor mounted on the inlet manifold, part of the engine management system on the 2.0L 16-valve turbocharged petrol engine.

The sensor measures the absolute pressure of the air inside the inlet manifold and reports it to the engine control module. The ECU uses this reading to calculate engine load and air mass, and on this turbocharged engine to monitor boost pressure, so it can set the correct fuelling and ignition timing. Supplied as a complete sensor.
