Frequently asked questions

What is the Front Suspension Arm (LR078477) and what does it do?
It's the right-hand front lower control arm. It connects the front subframe to the wheel knuckle at the lower pivot, forming part of the double-wishbone front suspension and locating the knuckle through inner pivot bushes and an outer ball joint. Fits Range Rover L405 (2013-2022) and Range Rover Sport L494 (2014-2022).
Why does the front lower suspension arm fail?
The front lower arm typically fails when its pivot bushes or integrated outer ball joint wear, causing knocking over bumps, vague steering, or uneven front tyre wear on the Range Rover L405 and Range Rover Sport L494. Replacing it restores the front suspension geometry.
Do I need one or two of these suspension arms?
This is the right-hand (RH) lower arm, so one is needed on that side; the left-hand arm is a separate part. Many workshops replace both sides together on the Range Rover L405 and Sport L494 to keep the front suspension balanced.
