Front Vented Coated Brake Disc for the front braking system.
The disc mounts to the front hub and rotates with the road wheel; the caliper clamps the brake pads against its friction faces to generate the front braking force. A vented design carries internal cooling vanes between the two friction faces, drawing air through the disc to dissipate heat and resist brake fade under sustained or heavy braking.
This variant has a protective anti-corrosion coating applied to the hub face, edges and vanes to resist rust on the non-wearing surfaces; the friction faces clear as the pads bed in during initial use.
