Rear Inner Wing - right-hand side, two-door bodyshell. Weld-in structural repair panel.

The inner wing forms the inboard wall of the rear wheel arch, separating the arch from the load space and providing the closing face that the outer rear quarter panel and the rear body mountings attach to. It takes the full load of road spray and mud thrown up by the rear wheel, so corrosion typically starts here and works outwards into the visible quarter panel.

The panel is a pressed steel section for cut-and-weld repair. Cut the corroded metal back to sound steel, offer up and weld in the new section, then seam-seal and protect both faces before the outer panel and rear trim go back on.
