Rear Shock Absorber (damper) for the rear suspension assembly.

The damper controls spring oscillation at the rear axle, working with the road spring and the upper mounting to keep the tyre loaded against the road surface and to limit body movement under braking and load transfer. It mounts between the rear suspension arm and the body mounting point.

This is the conventional, non-adaptive damping specification - it carries no electrical connection and is not part of an adaptive damping circuit. Dampers should be replaced as an axle pair so that damping rates stay matched side to side.
