Brand Allmakes OE
Alpine Light Glass is a fixed side window for the raised roof section of the body. It glazes the Alpine light aperture in the upper body side, above the main door and quarter windows, admitting additional daylight to the cabin.

Supplied as tinted glass in 4mm thickness. The pane seats into the roof-side rubber glazing seal, which retains it in the aperture. Fitment of the correct thickness is important so the glass beds correctly into the seal channel.

Frequently asked questions

What is the MWC4714 Alpine light glass?
The MWC4714 is the Alpine light glass, a fixed tinted side window for the raised roof section of the Land Rover Defender. It glazes the Alpine light aperture in the upper body side, above the main door and quarter windows, adding daylight to the cabin.
Where is the Alpine light fitted on a Defender?
The Alpine light sits in the upper body side, in the raised roof section above the main door and quarter windows. The MWC4714 pane seats into the roof-side rubber glazing seal, which retains it in the aperture on Hard Top and Station Wagon bodies.
Which Defenders does the MWC4714 fit?
The MWC4714 fits Defender Hard Top and Station Wagon bodies from 1987 to 2006, and 2007-2016 models from VIN V7A000001. It also suited the Biarritz and Eastnor limited editions. Confirm your body has the roof-side Alpine light aperture before ordering.
Why does the 4mm thickness matter on the MWC4714?
The MWC4714 is 4mm tinted glass, and fitting the correct thickness matters so the pane beds properly into the seal channel. The roof-side rubber seal retains the glass, so a mismatched thickness won't seat correctly. It's supplied tinted to match the factory Alpine lights.
