Gear Lever Gaiter is the flexible boot fitted around the base of the gear change lever where it passes through the transmission tunnel.

It seals the tunnel opening against draughts, dust and noise from the gearbox area, and tidies the lever's exit through the console. The gaiter perishes and splits with age, so it is commonly renewed to restore both the seal and the finished appearance of the cabin.
