Starter Motor for the 4.4L AJ V8 petrol and 4.2L supercharged V8 petrol engines, part of the engine starting system.

The starter mounts to the bellhousing and engages its pinion with the flexplate ring gear to crank the engine. The integral solenoid throws the pinion into mesh and closes the high-current main contacts when the ignition is operated.
