Frequently asked questions

What does the NTC9819 front air spring do?
The NTC9819 front air spring is a rubber bellows unit for the Range Rover Classic Electronic Air Suspension (EAS) system. It replaces a conventional coil spring, using pressurised air to support the body and maintain front ride height. It mounts between the front suspension turret and the axle.
How many front air springs are needed?
Two front air springs are needed to complete the front axle, one per side. They typically age at a similar rate, so replacing both together is common practice to keep front ride height even.
Which Range Rover Classic does the NTC9819 fit?
The NTC9819 fits the Range Rover Classic 1992-1994 from VIN JA610294, and only models built with the Electronic Air Suspension system. Coil-sprung Classics don't use this part. Confirm your vehicle has air suspension before ordering.
Why do these air springs fail?
Air springs typically fail as the rubber bellows perishes and cracks with age, causing air leaks and a vehicle that sits low or won't hold ride height. Perished bellows are common on air-suspension Range Rover Classics given their age, and often show as a corner dropping overnight.
