Carburettor Needle for the SU variable-venturi carburettor in the fuel system of the 3.5L V8 petrol engine, in twin-carburettor configuration.
The tapered metering needle is carried in the base of the air-valve piston and moves within the jet. Its machined profile sets fuel flow against piston lift, controlling the air-fuel mixture across the operating range.
